A Gondola profile can exist before its creator signs up, because someone credited that person on a post. If you find a profile for yourself, claim it so its credits move to your account, rather than collecting credits on a second profile.
Claim your profile
- Sign in to the Gondola account you want to keep.
- Open Settings → Accounts and select Update next to your username.
- Enter the handle of the existing profile and select Check availability.
- Connect the matching social account when Gondola asks, to prove it is yours.
- Gondola gives you that username and merges the existing profile's credits into your account. Check your profile and credits afterward.
You can change your username only once in a while, so check the handle before you claim it. If the social account cannot be connected, or you already have duplicate profiles, contact support. Include both Gondola profile links and the social account link. Do not send passwords or access tokens.
Invite someone else
If the profile belongs to someone you know, invite them to claim it themselves. Open gondola.cc/invite and share your referral link. You need a username to get a referral link.
Still missing work?
Claiming a profile and importing posts are different steps. A post must credit the correct Gondola profile to appear as that person's work. If a credit points to the wrong account, select Report a credits error on the post.
